Emski: So glad to see you back on the thread. I trust you and your DH enjoyed your holiday?? How did you go with the haematologist?? Am hoping it's nothing sinister either, so for you Luv!! Have pm'd you in regards to your blog info. I didn't now you couldn't add a link to your siggie either Bugger about your donor getting ill, poor girl, but probably better now than when she's cycling for you and DH. all goes well at her screening appointment on Thurs
Big Hello to all the other ladies........Kenta, Boo Boo, Mrs P and Dommy...how's your week going thus far???
AFM: Have check-up/scan with WDA (which will probably be my last one as I think he releases his preggo ladies at 12wks) at the end of this week and I've also got to have the BT done for the NT scan and CVS procedure that's booked in for next week (all going well) too. As usual, the anxiety/stress levels are starting to build in the lead up to my appoint with WDA.....so over myself at times!!! I'm hoping the blood clot will have resolved itself or not gotten any bigger at the very least.
Other than that, all good. Ok my lovelies, must go for now. Take care everyone and until next time...............

BinB I have my fingers crossed your last scan is all good. Congrats on getting to the 12 week milestone. I hope the nuchal scan and CVS goes well too.
Emski I hope you got some answers about your low platelets.
Hi also to Booboo, MrsP and Dom.
AFM started a fresh cycle again. Also checked my day 3 FSH and it's 6 but some oestradiol is a bit high at 140. I'm using Puregon this time and I've decided to use aspirin, steroids and clexane after EPU and will have to think about what to use for luteal support - think I'll do pregnyl and increase the progesterone support.

Hi ladies, emski hope u had a nice holiday, where did u go? Hope all went well with your test today. Thinking of u BIB u must be anxious about it all but try not to worry, I'm sure all will go great. Kenta hope u r doing ok xo
dh will get paper work in the mail for his TESA soon, getting a bit anxious about that, I've said to him I won't make him do it, he's supportive of doing another round but I know he's worried about this. A little annoyed it's taken this long so we can read through it all. He is booked in for the 07th Mar. I'll start my next cycle the following mth or otherwise May, can't say I'm looking forward to it but will hope for the best

Booboo: Your DH will be fine Luv. It's only natural that he's a bit anxious. Is he going under for the procedure or just having a local?? It might help his anxiety if they completely knock him out!! He'll do it Luv because he wants to do everything possible too to get that BFP Are they going to extract sperm from both sides or just the one?? DP did both sides...got more sperm/tubules to freeze that way. My FC gives you the paperwork and consent forms at the same time prior to starting your next cycle??? Not sure what the hold up is with your FC?? Don't worry girl, everything will go just fine for your DH and he'll be just fine too, just a little sore for a few days or so.
Kenta: How's the jabbing going Luv?? there's some lovely, juicy follies on the go!! Have you had a scan yet to check what the go is??
Emski: When will you find out how your donor's screening appointment went?? Am she's passed with flying colours!! (can't imagine why she wouldn't??) Not long now before you get this show on the road girl!!!
Shout out to Mrs P and Dommy.......come back soon and let us know how you're going
AFM: Had check-up/scan a little earlier this afternoon with WDA. All's well with the "Belly Bean" despite my near panic attack leading up to today I'm 11wks and 1d and the little one is measuring on target at just over 5cm's (I'm pretty sure he said 5.5cm's or was it 5.1?? Buggered if I remember!! lol) and heart rate at 140bpm (but he was having issues with the "dildo cam" getting it to sit right). Was a little concerned about the heart rate as it was 150 bpm 2 wks ago, but he told me it fluctuates and in half and hours time it could be 150bpm etc and he's happy as long as it's between 120-160bpm.
You can quite clearly see the arms, legs, feet and hands now which the Belly Bean was waving around with wild abandon!! It was also turning its head from side to side and turning itself over on its side too. Was very cute to see Both myself and WDA were laughing. My blood clot has almost disappeared too which is a relief!!
Next hurdle is the NT scan/CVS procedure late next week. all goes well with that and if it does, I know I'll start to relax a whole lot more about things and begin to feel a bit more confident.
WDA advised me to take a couple of Valium and hr or two prior to the procedure to keep the uterus calm and another one that night which I'll be doing as I know it won't hurt the Belly Bean (he quite often prescribes Valium to his ladies that are having threatened miscarriages and anyone who's done a cycle with him knows he has you take it prior to ET as well). Anything to help minimise any kind of complication from occurring I'll do. If it happens to keep the Belly Bean quiet for the procedure, then all the better as too much movement won't be conducive to sticking a needle through my abdomen, into my uterus and then my placenta to get a sample I'm thinking!!!
Ok lovely ladies, just touching base to see how you all are and give you an update. Take care and until next time..........

Finally got the paperwork bib, the plan is for dh to go under for it, as far as I know it'll be both sides. They said to do it ahead of a cycle. Every where I read though says it's best to do on day of EC, think I mentioned this to u before. Raised my concerns with this but its still bothering me, it's not like dh will want to repeat this in a hurry, they just said they want to see if they can get better quality first. There again it will be easier in some ways rather than him taking more time off as likely to have EC when he usually would be working away that week, fx we get some great samples. Glad to hear little belly bean is doing great and that the clot is nearly gone, u must be relieved. gl for your procedure this week will be thinking of u. How is everyone else doing? Hope u got spoilt for valentines day, hubs gets home tonight so making him a romantic dinner

Booboo: Good to hear the paperwork has finally arrived Try not to worry too much about the fresh/frozen sperm. There really isn't too much difference quality-wise and you can only work with what you've got. Plenty of BFP's come from thawed sperm including mine this last cycle they hit the motherload and you end up with a few vials to freeze as yes Luv, I'm sure your DH won't want to repeat the experience in a hurry!! Knocking him out is prob best especially if he's having anxiety about the whole thing. Just have a bag of peas and some decent painkillers on hand for afterwards He'll be sore, swollen and sorry for a few days and his crown jewels will prob be bruised for a week or so but he'll be fine. Hope your romantic dinner went well last night!! Valentine's Day was lovely. I cooked a beautiful meal and cards were exchanged. It's not that important to us, so we don't make that big a deal of it. How was yours?? Thanks for your kind thoughts and wishes about the Belly Bean and upcoming procedure. Am definitely relieved the clot has almost gone
Kenta: You've been a bit too quiet lately Luv??? What's the go?? How did you do this cycle??? and your way girl. Update us when you can.
Big Hello to Emski, Mrs P and Domiffy...............What's happening ladies???
AFM: 12wks today. NT scan/CVS procedure tomorrow one after another. The whole thing should take an hour. Just rang the hospital to confirm times and find out which Dr will be performing the procedure. Apparently the Dr who's doing mine will do the scan followed by the procedure and is a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist and one of the leading consultants at the hospital so that's helping to ease my anxiety. I'm not worried for me, just the Belly Bean and it's reassuring to know I'll be in extremely capable and highly experienced hands
Other than that, all's well as far as I know Girls. Been running around today completing errands and shopping etc in preparation for tomorrow as I'll have to rest for 24-48hrs afterwards to minimise the chance of complications (namely a MC). Am off to the GP's later on this afternoon to pick up BT results to take with me to the hospital.
Ok, better go and get back to work. Have organised to work from home today and want to get everything done before I head off to the GP's later. Will update you all when I can. Keep your and send some Belly Bean's way that all will go well tomorrow. Until next time.............

Just a quick post to let you know that everything went as well as could be expected this morning The specialist didn't bother with the NT scan as he couldn't see the point as I was having the CVS procedure anyway. In saying that, he took lots of pic's of the Belly Bean and did tell me that he could see a nasal bone and the NT looked thin which is a good sign. The Belly Bean's heart is all good too and no obvious issues there. Arms, legs, hands and feet all accounted for and head, spine are all A-Ok
The CVS procedure itself was performed very quickly. It took no more than 10 mins from start to finish and I only felt a small flash of slight pain/pressure when the needle went through my uterine wall. I didn't even feel the sample being taken from my placenta (mind you, I kept my eyes shut for the whole thing, while DP watched it all from start to finish). I put that down to my specialists skill/experience. He was absolutely fantastic as were the midwife and other supporting staff. Thankfully I've had no spotting/bleeding or loss of amniotic fluid so far and I'm not experiencing any cramps either, just a slight pressure/ache down low. It's so subtle and mild that I haven't needed to take panadol or anything for it.
Belly Bean is now measuring around 6.4cm's and his/her heart rate is a very strong 160bpm. When they did the scan prior to the procedure, the Belly Bean was lying there very quiet and having a bit of a snooze I think. I was a bit worried the valium I took prior may have made him/her a little too relaxed, but no, when they checked him/her after the procedure, he/she was bouncing around all over the place We were also given some lovely 3D scan pictures to keep as well
We'll hopefully have the FISH results by tomorrow afternoon, Monday at the latest. our little Belly Bean is healthy and happy. Ok Girls, must keep on resting for the next 24 hrs at least, just wanted to fill you all in on how things went.
Am hoping all's well with you my lovelies. Look forward to reading your updates. Take care and until next time...................

Emski: Read on the Over 40's thread you're set to go in a month!! How exciting Luv!! Read your blog and that's a bit of a worry not hearing from CFC?? Wonder what the go is there?? Hopefully you receive some communication from them in the next day or two. I'd be getting pi$$ed off by now too.
Yes, it's a bit of a relief to hit the 12wk milestone, but we're not out of the woods by a long shot yet. Still got to get the all clear from the test results, so more stress/anxiety there. Just hoping we don't have to wait until Monday for the FISH results. This whole process is nerve-wracking enough as it is!! Look forward to reading your update re: your donor's test results were A-Ok (which I'm sure they are Luv)
Booboo: Fillet steak...delish!! Lucky hubby!! Yes, it was a relief to see everything seemingly is where it should be with the Belly Bean Not long now until you get going again on your next cycle!! Once your DH has the TESA procedure, the time to begin again will be even closer!! third times the charm Luv!!!
to Kenta, Mrs P and Domiffy.....
AFM: Had a sh*t of a night's sleep...so over this heat/humidity!! Other than that, all's well physically with me. Still no spotting/bleeding or cramping etc. Understandably, the spot on my stomach where the needle was inserted is a bit tender, but that's to be expected.
DP has taken today off too to look after me. So another enforced rest day for me ahead. Will probably just chillax and watch a few movies I think and try to stay cool...oh how I loathe and despise summer!!
Ok my lovelies, will update you when preliminary results come in. Take care and have a beautiful day!!! Hope you all have a great weekend too Until next time...............
