    Default Eucalyptus oil in vaporiser?

I'm out of vicks vaporiser stuff and ds is coughing so much he can't sleep. Can I just put plain old eucalyptus oil in it or do I have to use the special vaporiser stuff you get from the chemist?

I'd say so! I use eucalyptus for everything ( clothes washing, floor mopping) I probably wouldn't even think twice for using it in a vaporiser!

Probably wouldn't last as long as normal vapour stuff though...

My vaporiser has a little tray which I sit eucalyptus in - it sits just where the steam comes out.
