Default Recommended GP/FS for PCOS in Brisbane

    Hi Ladies,
I still haven't found a GP I am happy with in Brisbane. I have been diagnosed with PCOS in the past and would like a doctor that has worked with other PCOS patients. If you have any recommendations, I would love your help!
    Thank you!

What are you hoping a GP will do for you? If you're trying to fall pregnant you'll probably find more success with a fertility specialist or if you're just after help managing PCOS probably an endocrinologist. I thought generally GPs just have a broad knowledge of most issues and refer to specialists for detailed treatments? When you read about the specialties/ interests of some of the FS they say endocrinology.

My GP got blood tests done, then we discussed those and fact it indicated PCOS then she sent me for an internal ultrasound to confirm then referred me to a FS as I wanted to fall pregnant. Saw Dr Julie Lindstrom at city fertility on Wickham Tce for about 8 months before I got my BFP :-)

I had also considered appointments with Dr David Molloy and Marianne Ilbery at QFG also on Wickham Tce. Dr Molloy is supposed to be the guru in everything and Dr Ilbery specialises in PCOS. I didn't end up seeing them but you can google reviews. There is also supposed to be a lady at Greenslopes that specialises in endocrinology and fertility but I'm not sure of her name.
