Thanks ladies for your support and help.

Its a chemical no rise on BT. I sort of knew, that it's not enough to get over the first hurdle.
Im actually less upset than I thought, of course not jumping for joy.
After speaking with Dr Wazza he gentley reminded me, I'm not really the problem. We started with MFI, so 50/50 split on next cycle.
Another issue Wazza has found is a sub Septem bio (heart shape ) uterus. So I'll be having a hystero, flush and scratch in the next cycle.
I also told this should have been done before, by Dr Nick. But as I had a D&C in late Septmeber last year, they did not want to be be poking around too much. And it's not too bad, as some are very bad mine is minimal.
So the plan is back at it in March. Back to Greece ah yeah I can handle that one lol.

So if anyone who is there in March, let me know if you want to hit the town

Thanks veryone one for your help & support xxx

    Hey Frances,

im sorry it wasn't the result ( we & ) u wanted but I LOVE that u r positive & already have a plan in process of where to proceed from here.

I will be in Greece in March, so hopefully we can catch up? Let me know what dates u will be there. It's just a quickie for me this time, in & out in a week. We've had to go the double donor option this time, so fingers crossed March will be a fertile month for us both.

    Xx

Hi all. I'm a long time lurker & figure I may as well join you. Congratulations to all for putting up with so much heartache along the way to get to a take home baby. It truly is an arduous, emotional rollercoaster of a journey.

I've just come out of BFN chemical 8th ICSI. I only ever got one positive and it was a Trisomy 7 at 9 weeks last September. Our 8th go was a shot in the dark gamble to do PGD but we never got there. AFM, Old eggs, usual story, naively tried first clinic my GP recommended 4 times & then moved to Monash, who I've found to be great but it's just too late in my life with my own eggs. So we are now finished with Australia, adoption isn't an option & to be honest domestic donor isn't either is it?
I've had some email contact with Dr Kanakas but haven't managed to skype just yet, I would hope to go to Greece in May/June. He seems to make himself very available to his patients compared to specialists in Australia.

    So a few questions:
Is it best to keep seeing a FS here for scan referrals & scripts or just use a GP?

I am in Europe in March, do you think there is any benefit in seeing doctor in Greece for an initial consult?

From reading on here and FF in UK, the consensus seems to be for Serum, Embryoland and Iakentro. I will be seeing my current FS next week so hoping to have them on board. I've already discussed donor with them, they seem to send more women to SA but I would prefer Greece as I am from Europe myself.

    Hi Tayto,

I tried to use my GP for the meds etc, found they could not write scripts for the meds I needed. They wanted to but due to the cost of those drugs they could not do it, had to be written by FS bloods and scans bulk billed they were fine with.

So I had to use my FS who charged a management fee, but was worth every cent. As dealing with a few clinics the protocols were plain rubbish.
If you have immune disorders etc, or require down regulation more than just the pill. Or have a luteal phase defect like me, I just could not take the risk of their simple it will be fine attitude.

Ive dealt with all of those clinics, and while there I even had some consults with them. I was very worthwhile, as I thought while Im here I might as well meet them, see if we feel comfortable etc.
So if we come back we have other options, time very well spent.

As for me, my first attempt has not been a success. We have MFI which put us to IVF in the first place, so younger eggs was not going to be a magic cure all.
We need the lab with the best sperm selection methods, culture to get better embryos.

My advice is talk to them all, you have to be comfortable with your choice. Ive found most will be very nice to potential new business.
If time and money are not an issue, by all means go there and see them all.
Greece was one of the best trips Ive had.
So Im not at all sad to be going back.

I hope to be back there in later March..

    Good luck
