Default Family History of babies arriving early, should I be preparing for the same thing?

Mum mother was 2 weeks early with me and my sister.

Should I prepare also for being early or is everyone different?

I know this might be a silly question but it's still in the back of my mind.

I'll be 10 weeks in a day and a half.

2 weeks early, isn't really early. You are still considered full term by that stage.

I don't think your mothers pregnancies are any indication of how yours will be.

My mother went over 40 weeks with her kids, had long and complicated labours and big babies.
I had my kids at 38 weeks, short and easy labours, complication free and average sized babies.

Everyone is different and mostly every birth is different, your baby has a different genetic make up to your Mums kids so that is one consideration. My births were very different to my Mums and two sisters and my mother in laws, as well as both my births being different from each other (one 2 weeks late, one 5 weeks early)
