I'm having a cocktail/games party with some friends in a few weeks. Normally when we have one of these nights it involves us googling for recipes and going 'this sounds yum....oh wait we are missing this 1 vital ingredient'
So this time we want to be prepared. We are trying to think of a few different cocktails that use the same basic ingredients but have different mixers etc. Don't want to have to buy 400 different sorts of alcohol so would love to hear some recipes that have similar sorts of ingredients!

Margarita uses tequila.
You could have tequila shots as well.
Is it mojito which uses tequila as well??
Maybe try googling tequila cocktails, or vodka cocktails etc so you can work around a base spirit??

As for mixers, you will need grenadine, orange juice, pineapple juice, lemonade, schweppes lemon line and soda. With those 4 spirits I mentioned before you should be able to make anything

Fruit tingles are my fav!
1 shot vodka
1/2 shot blue curaçao
A bit of raspberry cordial
In a shaker and shake
Ice in a glass
Pour in glass
Add lemonade to top up
You can add less alcohol if it's too strong or more if not enough!
ETA: Schweppes lemonade and cordial are best!

I find with these parties it's a great idea to ask each guest to bring a specific bottle of something.
Then to be honest - I improvise... I have more fun creating new drinks instead of following recipes. If you understand how to layer using the alcohol content of the spirit, and have a vague idea of what each tastes like, then you'll be able to create tasty and awesome looking drinks.

There is a website called web tender I think that you put in what alcohol you have and it spits out what drinks you can create.
