I was 1 day out from being induced at 42 weeks with my first, I was told to sit back wards on a dining room table chair and to do squats... I did that right up until bedtime I was In labour by 11pm!
With my second I was stupidly induced at only 40+6.... Should have waited!

Labour induction acupuncture worked for me (48hrs later I had bub). although, I was 42 weeks on the day I gave birth!
Best of luck - I hope bub gets a wriggle on for you
Silentrock - As for continual CTG - I was hooked up the whole time but I was still allowed to walk around, change positions, use the shower and bath..... I've heard of people having to stay confined to the bed so just wanted to say that it's not always the case

Silentrock- I was also on continuous monitoring and the drip when my induction finally worked. I could kneel on the bed or stand next to it or lie on it, so I was somewhat restricted but it didn't feel like it. So it doesn't always mean u can't move at all.

Good to know. Thanks ladies. I'm on insulin for the GD, but they haven't mentioned when they plan to induce yet.

Haven't had a bub yet myself, but two close friends who were desperate to go into labour, got an oil mixture off my mum.. i believe it was Clary sage oil, lavender, and ylang ylang mixed with almond oil as the carrier.. the first friend was a few days overdue, we went to the movies, lots of laughs, and she went home, had a bath with some of the oils, then got her partner to massage it into her belly and lower back.. she woke up at 5am in labour and her bub was born that morning second friend used the oils in a very similar way, two nights in a row.. and was at the hospital late on the second night in labour with bub born the next day (about 2-3 days before her due date) ! who knows if it was coincidence or not, but i'll definately be trying this one come October!
