Has anyone had success with hypnosis for weight loss?
I've been looking into it and it costs around $250 per session and I have been advised that you need around 3 sessions. I'm not sure if its worth it but I am desperate to kick my addiction to chocolate and kick start weight loss before TTC #2. Oh, I have zero motivation to do any diets.

I tried this years ago. Didn't work on the weight loss but worked on some anxiety I was dealing with and helped me to sleep better. The hypnotist told me at the time that you dont always come out with what you went in for. You also have to want to change and your subconscious kind of helps but I dont think its a miracle option. She was of the view I would know if I needed to go back or not each time buy didnt pre commit me to a number of sessions. I only went twice and for the actual issues it helped me deal with it was fantastic. I swore by it and helping me be a stronger person. That was a good 10 years ago.
I then brought a cd online for weight. Dont think I got to the end of it ever. Just put me to sleep a few minutes into it.

There was a study done a few years ago (don't ask me for references), using hypnosis to people who wished to lose weight. People were hypnotized to believe they had a gastric band. Apparently the results were very similar to people who underwent surgery and had the actual gastric banding procedure. May be worth looking into?
