My dd is 11mths and for at least the last months she has been waking up from her naps after on 30mins. She stays awake for 3.5hrs and sleeps well overnight. I've tried everything and I'm wondering if she might be ready for only one nap.
Is it too early? Or worth a try?

Both mine dropped to one sleep at 6 - 7 months. Worth a try to see how she goes.

Definitely worth a try. DD dropped to one nap at that time. The transition was smooth and she was fine.

Thanks everyone. I'll try moving her to one nap and see what happens.

We dropped to 1 nap around 11mths. Was a relatively smooth transition for us too

So I've gradually worked up to putting her down at 11.30 after an early lunch and she's still only sleeping for 30mins! She's needed an afternoon catnap to get her to bedtime at 6.30.
How long did everyone's bubs take to adjust? It's been 3 days.

Dd1 moved to one nap at our urging at 14/15mths. It took 2-3wks to get her used to it and had to keep her out of the pram or car in case she fell asleep in there (didn't transfer at all). But she was a good day sleeper. It was just that her second sleep was too late in the arvo. She went from 2x 1.5-2hrs to 1x3-4hrs till 16mths then dropped back to 2.5-3hrs with 10-11hrs overnight.
Dd2 is now 10mths and is on her way to one sleep. She has a catnap in the car or pram around 9am (won't fall asleep elsewhere) then 2-3hrs at midday. Overnight is 7pm-5.30am ish.

My DD went to 1 nap at this age. It is worth a try. I found it was easy to keep her up an extra hour or two and then she was tired enough to have a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day, and then she woke up early enough in the afternoon to be tired enough for 6:30-7:30 bedtime. Two naps and she wants to stay up all night.
