Hi Everyone...having lots of problems posting, so hope you get this one. Officially cycling...stopped taking OCP on Tuesday, AF arrived Friday and started Lucrin. Will commence asprin, prednisolone and progynova shortly, with Estradot patches, Viagra pessaries, Terbutaline and Clexane to follow after that. So 13 more sleeps...we leave on 13th. Flights and accommodation booked, as well as cage diving and shark breeching tour. Also going luxury camping for our safari at the Dwyka Tented Lodge...our birthday pressies to each other. So it all a goer!
to everyone...will do personals once I can post properly.

Hi Happyheart, in answer to your questions, I had 6 icebricks in a small (6pk) size soft esky (left over from previous IVF attempts) one for each side of the lucrin box. Wasn't enough to last the whole trip and ended up getting ice in bags from the stewardess before the changeover at Johannesburg.
We didn't have a visa. The travel agent told us you only need one if you are staying more than 90 days.
My GP wrote the letter for me for the medication (and suppliments) that we took with us, one each for myself and DH (he was taking menevit). It was titled "medication Summary" and listed patient details and medications, printed on the clinics stationary and signed by the GP. The one from CFC was titled "to whom it may concern" and stated that I would be travelling with certain medications plus needles and syringes, signed and on the clinic's letterhead paper. I got them to print a couple of copies as I had to split the medication into 2 bags and I wanted to put a letter with each.
Have had trouble getting onto bub hub, not sure if the system has been down?
Also thought I'd mention, the outside temperture of the plane was -60oC, really, really cold. Not sure what temperature the cargo hold is exposed to but I kept my meds with me as carry on.Last edited by BB4Me; 30-06-2013 at 20:21. Reason: add info

Happyheart - I travelled to NZ recently with clexane as part of IVF cycle and placed in my checked in baggage. Over here it comes in a box and each needle is in its own separate plastic so very hard to get knocked around. I did declare to customs in NZ and when asked what it was there was no issues. I also took my FS prescrption with me just in case. I also took my sharps container to put the used needles in when we were in NZ for 3 weeks and no issues going through customs.
Godo luck to everyone in coming weeks - exciting time.

Hi All,
Well my boys are now 17 weeks old and are so beautiful. They are both rather frustrated however, on the rolling front...they look like a pair of little beached seals and they scream until put on their tums, then scream about that too!! they are both growing well and we are getting lots of smiles and cute gurgling.
Happyheart: I did not have the progesterone injections and instead used crinone, and I had a BFP which became my very healthy twins. i think the issue is that if youve never bled after transfer on crinone then it should be fine. apparently using the pio it is less likely to happen.
Soo much action on this thread i have almost given up trying to comment and make personals!! also I have continuing difficulty posting for some reason.
Hope you are all braving the winter ok. WJ

Hello ladies. Just a quick update. Lucky us we are back in Franschhoek. We love it here. It's so beautiful with lovely cottage shops.
Today was our ER. We had a very good retrieval and Dr Le Roux has already booked me in for a D5 transferUnfortunately Dr Le Roux will be away on Saturday, so we have Dr Heylen. Can anyone tell me about him?
Crystal - how are you going? I think your transfer is 2 days after mine? Hope all is going well for you x
Wilson Joy- it's so beautiful to hear about your darling boys. Rolling first, then up and away running. Thanks for sharing with us.
So now it's relax time and do the 5d wait . I hope my lining will hang in there. I started the pio today, so hopefully that will hold things where they should be.
To all xx

Jennilee...Great to hear you had a good retrieval!!!! That's the first hurdle over. Great stuff. Hoping those little ones do well with the fertilisation and look amazing on day 5 for you. Sounds like it is all coming together. Glad you are having a few days to relax and have fun with the PIOs. So excited for you. Have read lots of great things about Dr Heylen on the forums. Not sure which girls used him but I am sure you are in awesome hands!
AFM...I have been waiting for AF and emailed Cyndi last night to say so far no show and no suggestion of her coming but this morning there is a little colour and tummy feels yuk so I guess she is on her way!!! Forget what it is like! Last one was December!
Say hi to Crystal and January if you cross paths!
Sunny and I have our first appointments half an hour apart!
