Hi ladies, well two of the four fertilized so we have a transfer on sat morn. A little disappointed - well actually a lot disappointed! I was hoping we'd get one to 5 days and have something to freeze as well! It didn't take last time at a 3 day transfer so I've not got much hope it'll work.

Hi chiefs girl - don't loose hope!!!! Look at me!!!! I got 6 eggs, only enough sperm found to fertilise and 4 fertilised, we got called in on day 3 for a double transfer as the other 2 were too far behind and both of my 3 day transfers looked to have implanted!!! Unfortunately only one now has survived- but hey, i cant ask it anything more!!!! it does happen and as the scientists always say there, they'd rather your embryo back with you nice and snug rather than in the little Petri dish!!!! Good luck and our fingers are crossed dr you xoxo Crofty

Everyone. Not sure if this is the right thread for me so please tell me if I'm in the wrong place! We're supposed to be starting out first cycle at WFC in July. It was irigibslly going to be this month but when I called to let them know af had arrived, I was told they couldn't fit us in because of theatre closures or something. I was devastated because I'd worked so hard in getting myself prepared (well trying to) and I thought we may have finally had the chance of good things happening for us. I'm on the pill now as I sometimes have long cycles so af is due around the 8th July and we can get things started from there..

No idea what happened, I'm on my phone and I tried to post in this thread earlier but it didn't work then the post that actually came through I thought I was posting in the June/July IVF/ICSI thread. Hahaha either me or my phone is all over the place today (I'm guessing me!) I am going to WFC though so all good

You poor thing, they do say it can happen tho- they even say they may not be able to fit you in if they're full up with ladies cycling. They say it won't happen twice tho, so you'll def get in next month.
Good luck for your cycle!

Thanks Chiefsgirl. The nurse was really nice. I also called my FS office and spoke to their receptionist and I'm still not sure if the FS callled WFC or vice versa but together, they decided to put me on the pill for 21 days to save me waiting out a longer natural cycle and they've also made us an advanced booking for next month so we definitely get in. I was ready to throw IVF in altogether (I feel like we had so much time wasted with our last FS and thought it was happening again and just didn't feel like I could cope with it all anymore) but the assured me it's not something that happens often and said in her 9 years of being there, she hasn't seen them not be able to take anymore patients for that reason... Trust it to be us that it affects! The waiting is the most stressful part for me. When we were doing IUI's, we had to have a cycle off in between each IUI cycle and I found the waits in those 'rest' months were so much more stressful and emotional for me than the TWW itself.

Welcome Becca. Glad you're all set for next cycle. I never ovulated and always had really long cycles too - so those waits in between were always super frustrating.
