Hi, I went to a counsellor and was actually discussing Wills and who be DD's guardian etc- our counsellor has been involved as an expert witness in family court matters (is a highly regarded psych) - he told me that the idea that grandparents can sue for custody is a fallacy - the grandparents actually have no legal standing or rights. It is down to the parents. However - this is for WA, not sure if it's different in other states.
