Predictors of Adjustment for Older First-Time Mothers: Implications for Practice

We are currently looking for women over the age of 35 to participate in a 20 minute online questionnaire.

This research is part of the Masters of Psychology (Counselling) program at Monash University, Melbourne.

The aim of the research is to understand how older mothers cope with the major life transition of parenthood.
The study will explore how stress, optimism and self-perception affect maternal well-being.
It is hoped that this study will assist Counselling Psychologists to provide meaningful support for mothers.

Participants: Mothers over the age of 35, with one child (child must be between
1 to 6 months old).
Participants must reside within Australia.

Questionnaire: The questionnaire should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
