The new neighbours across the road seem like lovely people, similar ages and same interests. Hope our other neighbours are just as nice

Well this was yesterday but I had a great day, my daughter put herself to sleep for both of her day sleeps and was so happy while she was awake, then after dinner I went shopping (baby free!) to get an outfit to wear on Xmas day and my husband suggested I get a pedi too, it was great!

A woman came up to me today while I was with ds and instead if just fawning over ds she also took the time to ask how I was and tell me I am a great mum. It was just the boost I needed

Dh organised a surprise date night (for the first time ever, so unlike him)
We are at his parents massive 2 storey holiday home so they babysit the kids downstairs... and dh had secretly set up a cute little table for us on the balcony... tablecloth, placemats, candles, music etc. We had a pre dinner drink together, then ate lots of yummy thai food (from the local take away) and talked just the 2 of us. Then we had drumsticks for dessert (I'd been craving one all week!!)
.....AND then he got down on 1 knee and said lovely things and asked me to marry him.
Yes, we are already married, but his original proposal was just "I dont want you to be my girlfriend anymore, I want you to wear this ring" while sitting on the bed.
Went downstairs where his mum announced it was all his doing (lol) and grabbed the kids. We fell asleep snuggled up with the kids watching Up in the home cinema.
It was so lovely

DP came home early from her first NYE off in five years cos I wasn't feeling well. She said she'd rather ring in the new year rubbing my back anyway.

A guy roughly my age in a group of his peers, in a wife beater and covered in tats and surrounded by people started fawning over DD today and exclaiming how adorable she is really loudly and had a huge grin when she smiled at him. For some random reason it made me really happy.

I woke up after a sleep in to DH cleaning my car. Was a very lovely surprise. Also got to go shopping this afternoon while he spent time with dd. Not sure what I did to deserve this...
