Welcome to the thread kkmollie, I know how you are feeling with your new diagnosis and coming to term with things, must be especially hard knowing you didn't have these issues with bub no.1. We have all been there though hun so you are in the right place for support. I would think your gyno would prescribe clomid asap to see if it works, I would be asking to start straight away as sometimes unfortunately it doesn't work for everyone so its good to get something started to get things underway, don't get me wrong it does work for lots and lots of ladies but best to get things moving asap. You stand a good chance with clomid I would think seen as you have already managed to conceive one bub. I think issues can can worse as we get older so maybe why you have had issues previously, its funny how us girls look back and realise that things haven't been right for a while once we get the diagnosis. Good luck hun, hopefully you will get the support you need and get your bfp very soon x

As for me I got my oeriod again on d16 of my cycle. So 16 days ago my period started and now d16 is d1 again. Feeling so flat and a little dead inside. It means my hormones are really acting up.

Thanks so much for the welcome and support! I will definitely be asking the gyno if he can start me on Clomid asap. My appointment is on Wednesday, so not too long to wait. I am not sure if I should inquire about Metformin also. However i really do not know much all the different medications etc. I am sure I will be a lot more knowledgeable after my appt.
ProudMumma34- I hope you are feeling a little better today I am sorry, I dont know your background, but do you take anything for your PCOS?
I hope everyone else out there is doing well.

ProudMumma - Sorry to hear your hormones are causing havoc, hope things settle down this cycle.
kkmollie - Hope all goes well Wednesday keep us updated, I would ask about metformin too - it hasn't sorted my cycles out but has eased some of my symptoms so must be doing me some good.
AFM - Hycosy tomorrow, really hoping for good news

I got diagnosed a year ago and my partner and i are TTC i have been off the BCP for 2 months now after being on yasmin for 4 months (i had to stop as i bled every single day )
my gyno is waiting for me to get my period so she can test me to see if i ovulate, now being off the pill i usually get my period at the end of every month however i have not had a period since october.
Ive been experiencing extreme tiredness, heartburn, frequent urination, A LOT of CM, slight cramps and weird feelings in my stomach.
I took 3 tests 7 days ago and got a BFN. Maybe its in my head but i think there could be a possibilty of being pregnant!
I am waiting for it to come so that my gyno can put me on clomid to promote the big O .. however being off the pill ive noticed my hair growing a lot faster in places we dont usually have hair (the worst!)

Hi Georgie213, sorry to hear you are having some of the awful symptoms that come with PCOS now you are off the pill, my biggest issue is acne which really flares up off the pill. I have found metformin to ease sysmptoms which is good, something you might light to ask your doctor about. Hopefully your period turns up soon so you can start clomid and begin ttc.
AFM - Hycosy went well and all looked good with tubes clear so can now continue to ttc in January with peace of mind.

Heyside- great news that your hycosy went well! Good to start off the new year with positive thoughts about ttc in Jan.
Georgie- has Af showed up yet? The wait can get very frustrating! It seems ttc with Pcos is a big waiting game.
AFM- had my first gyno appointment yesterday. Happy to say he has prescribed me 50mg clomid and metformin. Just waiting for AF to arrive, most likely in January, then can get the clomid going. Feeling a lot better know we have some sort of plan for the next couple of months.
Does anyone know approx cost of clomid and metformin?

kkmollie - Great news hun that you have got things started, good luck for this next cycle, hopefully you don't have to wait too long for bfp now! Metformin only costs m around $6 for one box which lasts me well over a month, can't remember exact cost of clomid but know its one of the cheaper options of fertility treatments so not too costly!

kkmollie - We are pretty much in the same Boat!! I saw my specialist a couple weeks ago and she is waiting for af to arrive so she can test my progesterone levels and then put me on clomid, but this wait is just forever. I also think that my pregnancy like symptoms could also be caused by coming off the pill? (ive been off the pill for 2 months though and was only on yasmin for 4 months then before that i wasnt on any bcp for 6 months then before that i was on them for 5 years) which i read a bit about which i think is so cruel but usually af comes within 2 month naturally and is very clotty and heavy and ill cramp for 2 weeks before it arrives and this time theres just nothing. - sometimes theres random sharp pains on my right side and extremely dull pains that last for maybe 20 mins.. nothing like what id feel before af arrives - also just having the vivid dreams and CM and heart burn and being so tired you automatically think that this is it! but every time you get a BFN.... so trying to keep my head up because i know it will happen eventually
Should be on clomid by feb next year - also i really want to go on metformin as ive heard its helped a lot of ladies with m/c etc... i am not diagnosed to have diabetes but could i possibly get it for my PCOS?
I would actually love to hear of other woman with PCOS and their stories and how they are effected and any physical symptoms they have like extra hair etc..
take care xo
