I'm with Lineyb73 not heard of her before and would recommend Warren de ambrosius, they recommended him to me and after 4 failed cycles with a different clinic and 2 specialists I got pregnant on my 5th cycle with Warren (1st cycle with Warren)

I have been to Claire boothroyd and I thought she was awful to be honest sorry. She wasn't willing to try very hard and blamed everything on my weight instead. She wouldn't do ivf only clomid treatment as she said ivf was a waste of money when overweight.
I switched to dr molloy at qfg and he was fantastic. He said ivf was my only chance given my history and dh's history etc. I now have a 19month old and I am 34wks pregnant.
Sorry that was not a good report for you. I know everyone has a different experience and opinion and that's just my honest one.
It must be hard having to do this all away from home. I hope you have great success whichever way you go

It's good to keep your options open and go with who you feel comfortable with

I am on the Warren (Wazza) DeAmbrosis wagon too. I had 6 failed cycle with another doctor and although I thought he was great, he was very 'by the book', and told me that he couldn't do anymore for me and donor may be our only option. Wazza thinks outside the square. I did one cycle with him which was also a failed cycle, and straight away he recommended donor eggs. One cycle with donor eggs and I have a beautiful 8 month old. He is a wacky but wonderful doctor.

I know it's been awhile but I though I would pop back in here to say hi
I have been reading along and wanted to congratulate Elarwood on her bfp!
Soques: I'm another who would recommend Dr Warren De Ambrosis. He is quite simply awesome! He is unconventional, funny, honest and your number one champion.
We went to him after not being happy with our previous doctor who put everything in the too hard basket. And never once took any ownership of the repeated failures and sugar coated poor results.
Despite our first cycle with 'Wazza' not being successful we don't regret it one bit, in fact if it wasn't for his help we wouldn't have had the confidence or the knowledge that we needed to take our next step with Donor eggs overseas. He has been so supportive and generous in this process ....
AFM we head to Cape Town in just under two weeks. I have started Lucrin and an immune protocol (Wazza's contribution) and am excited , nervous and hopeful all at once..
The whole process (thanks to some great advice here on Bubhub) has been fairly smooth (we did have a hiccup with our first donor chosen who didn't pass her testing and found out her own fertility limitations - still sad for her )
Our new donor has passed all her testing and by my rough calculations should have/be starting her medication soon.
Fx we get to bring a springbok back as a souvenir

All the best for your Cape Town tourney Blinkey. I hope you get your BFP.
I'm another Wazza fan. BFP from first cycle, had done 3 IUI with another FS. Lots of people travel to see him.

I'm another Wazza fan. Don't get me wrong, Dr Claire Boothroyd is a very qualified dr, she's a guru in reproductive endocrinology. Wazza is a bit of a maverick, he prides himself as the doctor for the "too hard basket", he over-uses drugs and remedies but going on his reputation you know he has created many success stories. He doesn't beat around the bush if your chances are no good he'll tell you so, but if you're willing to have a go he'll give you his full support.

Squoes - Albeit, I didn't get any success with my own eggs through Wazza, I am convinced without him we would not have our beautiful little man. He went out of his way to help us on our Sth African Egg donor Journey. I am definitely a Wazza fan. All the best with your journey.
Ann - thanks for asking after 'pramgate'. A couple of weeks ago I received a call from the Constable dealing with the matter advising there was insufficient evidence to proceed, notwithstanding the offender having admitted to the officer in a previous encounter that the money had been deposited in the account and that she was intending on returning it but now didn't have the funds!!!!
After further conversation with the officer and questioning him as to why an affidavit of his conversation with the offender would not constitute primary evidence and advising him that not only was I and RN, but I am a Lawyer Admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland, so I am familiar with the rules of evidence, did he agree to speak with his supervisor and voila now they are continuing on another avenue, which I might add, I also suggested!!!!
KT - all the very best with your upcoming FET. Small world but one of your friend's helps out with one of my dear friends twins!!! We were talking the other week and I said to her 'your friend would happen to be KT on bub hub???'
Blinky - And here the amazing journey begins. Not long now!! Hold on tight Hun and remember every bit of this awesome ride.
