    Default Changing address with hospital

Hi, hoping someone has some advice. We've booked into the birthing centre at our local (popular) Public hospital. However we will be moving house in June this year (bub not due til November).

If we move out of area does that mean we won't be able to go through the hospital we are booked in at because we will no longer be in area, or once you're booked in is that it?

I think it is once you're booked in, you're in.

I know this was the case with a friend and her baby.

Hope it is the same for you

We moved while pregnant and we stayed with the hospital we booked in with. Continuity of care is important so they shouldn't change you.

Excellent. I might call up anonymously and check but a google suggests we should be okay!

Are u in a family birthing centre? Cause catchment area issue doesn't matter. My cousin's wife did get moved to her local hospital from her original hospital because all her pregnancies were straight forward and no issues. So I would check. Ring outpatients anonymously and ask. Say your ringing on behalf of your sister who doesn't speak good english and see what they say.
