Paper plates. Mr Maker uses loads of paper plates, and my DS got EXTREMELY upset the other day that his doodle drawer had no paper plates there are lots of great craft ideas for paper plates, too.
And stamps and ink, or even better self inking stamps (less mess) great for toddlers, and we like stamping plain butcher's paper to make personal wrapping paper.

    Cardboard rolls (eg from papertowel)
    Stickers
    Paint
    Cotton wool
    Glue
    Scissors
    Crayons/textas
    Lots of different coloured paper
    Different textured paper/cardboard
For a 2 yr old I'd suggest glitter glue or glitter paint over glitter. (It goes everywhere!)
    Paper plates
    Lunch bags - paper ones
    Pom poms

Sorry if some of these have already been said.

At the risk of sounding silly, please can someone tell me where to buy the 'crafty' items in these lists? Spotlight?

I'm the least craftiest person in the world so have never paid attention

Definitely try spotlight. And let me know how you go finding what you need... I know the buyer for kids craft, they're always looking for feedback. :-)
