    Default issues in early pregnancy

Hi all, am new to bub hub.

Am soon to be third time mum, though my last pregnancy was 8 years ago so it feels like everything's changed and am learning allll over again.

For one, I popped out like nothing else from one day to the next. I am 7 weeks, but look like 20 weeks - a little embarrassing really - not all nice and tucked in like my last two. Have had to resort to maternity pants already.

I had both heartburn and constipation with my first, morning sickness with my second. This time round the symptoms are completely different again and have me scratching my head and a little concerned.

I am more bloated than I've ever been. Most days it's like carrying a painful balloon around. I take appropriate vitamins and fibre intake which firstly turned my stool sticky black like, then I developed terrible constipation, with painful and ongoing wind. Wind, that while still inside, could be heard gurgling in my tummy over a loud music movie.

After deciding I couldn't take another day of this pain, I went to chemist and before I could buy anything was hit with a round of abdo/bowel pain that sent me scurrying to the bathroom, fearful of M/C (which I also had in Dec). I moved my bowel, with no sign of the constipation, and subsequently have gone at least 5 more times today - with same urgency.

Question: This doesn't appear to be normal to me. Can anyone else relate? I have done a lot of reading on related or similar conditions, but my last colonoscopy (last year) was totally clear of anything like that. As this is forum I'm assuming TMI is not a problem, and more information is better than less! I also have experienced in the last week, some mucous type substance in my stool or when attempting to move bowel. Again, not uncommon in pregnancy, but concerning.

Would appreciate any comments / views / experience.
    Kindly
    ttm

My movements changed incredibly during my first tri. I think it's probably the fibre and hormones doing it to you. It sounds pretty normal to me but if you're concerned then there's nothing wrong with mentioning it to your doc

Thanks Alleethee, there's something about hearing it from another human as opposed to clinical google that calms fears. I have found myself spending day after day worrying about, thinking bout, reading about, and trying to do something about - my bowel. Holeeee. I'll be glad when this goes.

I do plan to raise it with my obgyn (in another three long weeks) but wanted to post in case it warrants more serious attention.
