What would you do if your sister was terminally ill? Samuel Johnson’s sister Connie is dying of Breast Cancer so he’s setting out on an epic challenge. He’s riding around Australia on a unicycle!
The Love Your Sister campaign has actor Sam Johnson riding around Australia trying to break the Guinness World Record for longest trip on a unicycle – but most importantly, he is raising awareness about breast cancer, promoting the message to get checked regularly, and raising one million dollars toward breast cancer research.
Where’s the perfect place to spread this message? Well the Bubhub of course! With all our mothers, daughters, sisters, nieces, aunts, grandmothers, and more, it is all too important that we help Sam and Connie raise awareness about this life-changing disease. And we need your help!
So where do we start? With the Love Your Sister story.
Sam and Connie were born a year apart, so they’ve always been close. Growing up they played together, explored the neighbourhood together... and fought cancer together.
Connie has fought cancer three times in her life and Samuel has been with her every step of the way. This time things are different. Connie is dying and she doesn’t have much time left.
Faced with the fight of her life, she set Samuel the toughest challenge she could think of. It started as a joke in the kitchen. It turned into a promise.
Their message is simple: 'Don't fall into the booby-trap, be breast aware!'
Check out more at the Love Your Sister website, spread the message, and keep an eye out for more threads about this great campaign!
