I've had my dating scan bulk billed, but was so appalled at the lack of knowledge of the sonographers (and their seniors) that I booked my nt and anatomy scans at a clinic in subiaco, opposite KEMH. It's amazing the difference an experienced sonographer makes, and there are professors on site who oversee the entire scan from an adjoining room. Yes I had to pay $180 and $230 for those scans before medicare, but I'm put at ease that EVERYTHINGwas checked and double checked :-)

I went to Women's Imaging too, my OB (Louise Farrell) is only a couple of doors down the road so it was all super easy. And they were just so lovely

Eeek.. That's going to add up
I've just today been told I need to have a scan in 4 Weeks, and then monthly also. It's for twins so they want to keep am eye on growth, fluid etc etc. not sure how much it'll be, I'm scared to ask!

At least you'll be close to the safety net amount soon ( we will end up with at least 3 at $200 a pop so no where near as expensive as yours but this is the positive spin I'm putting on it for us)
