Default Vent or Condenser Clothes Dryer??

We don't use the clothes dryer all that much - it is really only there as a back up for wet/cold days when things find it impossible to dry on a clothes horse.

I think ours has died - am looking at replacing it and have only just discovered 'condenser dyers' -- where you don't really need a vent.

    Does anyone have one??

Would it be worth spending the extra on?

We have a small Laundry that does seem to steam up (if 'someone' forgets to open the window)

They don't seem to be any more energy efficient, unless you get the heat pump kind. They are also unable to be wall mounted.
