Yes she can be on the birth certificate if the child was a product of the relationship. I'm not 100% sure of the technicalities, we went through a clinic with an annon donor & it wasn't a problem. I'd give births, deaths & marriages a call to double check your situation! Goodluck!

We are in qld and are 23 weeks pregnant after using a fertility clinic and my partner is able to be listed in the birth certificate as parent 2 and has all rights to the child.

In qld it doesn't matter how you got pregnant (at home insem is fine, as is using a clinic) you can both legally be on the birth cert. Births, deaths and marriages won't even ask any questions about how you conceived or who your donor is. We have a 2 yr old who has us both on his birth cert. It was a straightforward process.

Wow I was also under the same belief that only the birth mother could be listed. I live in NSW and would love to be listed as the mother of our little one even though my partner will be the birth mother. Did you have it listed like that straight away or change it later on? I wonder if it still works that way... Great news if it is still like that!

My sister and her partner in NSW are listed as my niece's mothers. It took a bit longer but they are both on it.
