Right. If you put a zipper on the LJ pants there'd be no difference between them and light weight cargos, surely?

I love LJ flash dance pants, I just had abdominal surgery so went out and bought some new pairs.

They aren't made from tracksuit material, therefore not trackies

The lack of zipper makes them trackies.

    From wiki:

Tracksuit bottoms are usually made from cotton or polyester, and the chief characteristic distinguishing them from other athletic pants is the elastic band located around the waist.

I don't think the fabric disqualifies them as trackies.

So jeans with an elastic waist are trackies too? Because denim is cotton?

This thread is hilarious - clearly we are all bored on this fine Easter Monday

I definitely don't class the flash pants as trackies. They are exactly like my other cargo pants (as LambJam said), but with an elastic waist. The material is exactly the same though.

Now my proper, traditional trackies are a soft fluffy kind of feel! Totally daggy and definitely for indoors only ideally.

Sonja, do you wear jeans around the house all day too? I couldn't think of anything worse, I luuurve coming home and changing from jeans to trackies/flash pants. Much more comfy!

Don't even go there! Does anyone actually wear jeans with elastic waists?

If you go on to read the wiki article there are other attributes flashdance pants and trackies share (they have to be baggy as well). So jeans probably wouldn't qualify.

    I'm not the fashion police.

Absolutely. I spend a heap on my jeans. They are the most comfortable clothing I own.

You simply must tell us what brand your jeans are then, lol! Mine are ok, but definitely not all day/every day wear.

When I'm pregnant is when I wear jeans the most, because the maternity ones have an elastic waist with material to cover belly. I wish I could continue wearing them now, so comfy!
