Default cut inside my DDs ear

DD woke p this morn complaining of a sore ear. I looked in there with a torch and saw a cut just inside, like where you put a cotton bud (not that i use cotton buds).

    WHat should i do?

I don't think there's anything u can do. She probably scratched herself sticking a finger in there. If its worrying you or hurting her maybe let the GP check it out.

DA used to have a big habit when he slept of gouging out he's ear and have little bloody scratches in the morning. I think he did as a comfort thing?

Are you sure it's a cut and not just blood? If it's blood it could be from a burst ear drum. Unless you are 100% sure it's a cut, I'd head off to the GP tomorrow for a check of the ear drum.

Burst eardrums don't bleed out the ear. It's probably just a cut.

Yes they do. It's happened to my DS. Granted there was a bit of pus there too.

Op, if you can see the cut then don't worry about it. Otherwise yes I would worry about an ear infection.

You can usually tell it's a cut because it's only a small crusty blood spot.

If its just a small cut just like we scratch, then its ok no need to worry about anything. But if it seems you quite dreading because only you have seen it with your eyes and really irritating her then must have a check by the Doctor.
