This is my 2ND pregnancy I'm 16w1d and I just can't shake the feeling that my baby has died
I have an amnio on Monday and it's like I know she's going to put the machine on and there will be no heartbeat
I understand how morbid this sounds and I don't understand why I feel like this
Am I normal?

Hugs to you, I understand completely. And unfortunately we know that these things can happen.
Try to hold onto the positives, I assume you've had no physical sign that anything is wrong and I also assume you have had at least one scan previously that showed a strong heartbeat. These things would all indicate that there is nothing wrong with your bubba, and the odds by this point are nearly overwhelmingly in your favour. If you didn't have the amino on Monday I'd suggest going to your GP and asking for them to have a listen with the Doppler just to put your mind at ease. As it is I will keep everything crossed for you that your fears are unfounded and you find everything to be perfect on Monday xoxo good luck

Ps I think it's completely normal, I've had many moments this pregnancy when I've had this unshakable feeling of doom, but here I am at 22 weeks with my bubba kicking up a storm

That's awesome to hear other people feel the same. Yeah I've had scans with very strong heartbeats. I don't know. Maybe it's just because I've had am excruciating tooth for the last couple of weeks and I've forgotten that I'm pregnant. Now it's gone I am concentrating on the pregnancy again and I just don't feel pregnant

I still have moments when I don't feel pregnant (and I have constant morning sickness still)

I actually bought myself a Doppler this pregnancy to avoid the anxiety

I know the feeling, i have it lately too i think because there is so long between ob visits i wonder how its possible bub is ok...
This is bub 3 for me so its s feeling that never goes away with all pregnancies i think! Only takes a week or so to come back even after being checked and all is well!

I have that all the time (14+2). Was so convinced that I made hubby buy me a Doppler so I could reassure myself
