Researchers at The University of Sydney are investigating a psychological intervention for children with anxiety.
The intervention is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) program which helps children learn different ways to think about their worries. In doing this study, we hope to learn more about how best to help and support children to manage their anxiety. To understand how effective the intervention is, it is important to compare children with and without anxiety on a number of different measures.
Parents of 8-12 year old children who would like to help manage their child’s anxiety are invited to participate in the study. Parents of children without anxiety will receive two free movie vouchers for completing a short interview, questionnaires and different tasks. The study is being conducted at The University of Sydney Psychology Clinic in Camperdown, NSW.
