I read something this morning that suggested SHE was the one who told Crean to call a spill. Which is certainly a different spin on the whole debacle.

Bowen, Ferguson and Carr gone today - who else? I haven't read the news for a while.
I don't know. He seemed pretty genuine in his speech. He seemed really worked up like he had really had enough of the games being played and wanted an end to it all.

Yes but he seemed pretty convincing when he was denouncing Rudd not too long ago.

    It's a brutal game.

Crean and Ferguson are big losses. If only for their corporate memory and utter devotion to the party and party ideals.

Fair enough. I don't recall that speech. So I can't compare. Politics is definitely brutal.

Oh he didn't make one particular speech. Just lots of interviews about how Rudd was a nightmare so as to try and soothe the outrage about his knifing.

Poor guy. It must be tough as an elder statesman to see the party carrying on like this.

Who knows. Maybe this will be the making of Gillard.
