I had a c-section 3 1/2 weeks ago and my wound was uncomfortable in the first few days but never sore. This morning the last of my steri strips came off while in the shower and now my wound is quite sore on one side, just the last 1cm or so. It's a bit red but not weeping or open. I was thinking it might just be from my underwear rubbing on it when it was previously protected by the steri strip but just wanted to check in here to see if anyone had anything similar and whether it was fine or something to get looked at.

I would go to the doctor just incase. I had an awesome csec and no pain in recovery. About 4 weeks pp The edge of my scar got a bit red. One doctor said it was ok. Then it started getting a bit sore. I went to a new doctor who said I had the start of an infection. A couple of days later (and after antibiotics) the redness and soreness had cleared.

If it definitely still closed, you should be fine. Keep an eye on it though and if it starts to open or weep, get it looked at.
If you're worried about undies or clothes rubbing, you can get simple dressings from the chemist that can help protect it.

It wouldn't hurt to get it checked out.
I had a similar thing at 2 1/2 weeks, except my steri strips hadn't fallen off. It got a bit red, then after a few days a little weepy. I called my midwife and then went to the emergency of the hospital (I could've gone to my doctor too, but was easier to go to hospital) And they were so fantastic. They had a look and took a swab to see if it was infected or not. Mine was infected and I got an iv of antibiotics then and some tablets to take home and have for a week. It all cleared up really well and I could still breastfeed too.
