    Default Public dentist/school dentist in NSW?

    Does anyone know how it works in NSW? Is there any such thing as a school dentist here?

    DS has fillings that have split and the dentist says it's not worth refilling, she would be looking to pull them out.

    He has already done extensive damage to his front adult teeth which is costing me a heap of money so would rather get these teeth pulled for free if possible.

    Not sure if they still do school dentist programs but you can get free public dental work...
    This is the link for Sydney/Illawarra...just call the 1300 number if you're in another area,I'm sure the program would be available in other area's of NSW....waiting list time can be long though... http://www.sesiahs.health.nsw.gov.au...alServices.asp

    It's called community dentist just google it. They usually operated out of your local hospital and are free for any child under 18 and adults that have a health care or pension card. I found that the waiting list for adults was crazy long but I seemed to have got my son in pretty fast. Goodluck.

    Just made a call and got an appointment tomorrow..yay!

    Wish i had of known about them when he fell over and smashed out half of his 2 front teeth- would have saved me $600 i didn't have.
