So fob has decided to completely disappear (I knew he was going to move towns and possibly states this year but he's also changed his mobile number etc and said before he disappeared that he wants absolutely nothing to do with bub and me). This happened after my morph scan a couple weeks ago.
What details about him am I supposed to know to tell authorities/centrelink/whoever I'm supposed to talk to when bub is born? I don't even remember his birthday anymore and don't have any mutual friends/know any of his friends to find out anything.
How is this going to affect bub and me?

Do you want him on the birth certificate? If not it won't affect you at all as far as I am aware.

If you don't put him on the birth cert you have to have a stat dec saying why, and the registry has to approve it. If you do out him on then he needs to sign the birth cert. Contact your local registry for details

Depends on the state. In WA you need his place of birth, dob, and signature. If you aren't putting him on, you need to provide a letter stating why he isn't on the birth certificate. They also say, that in special circumstances, they don't need his signature. It's different in every state though I think

Mmmmm create a new account? Find him and then ask one of his friends? I know that's a little 'stalky' but at the end of the day he is the FOB

That's so shi**y of him! Do you know his family at all, where they live, last names or anything? Do his parents know they are going to be grandparents? Maybe they could talk sense to him, or get him to man up to his responsibilities?
