Firstly, if you don't want to travel that quickly - then don't! I know what it's like, when we moved from Melb to Perth for 3yrs, family always expected us to do the traveling. It's annoying.
That said, traveling while bubs is so young is quite easy (compared to toddlers). Particularly if b/f, you don't have to worry about formula/bottles and heating etc in a plane. My DS would fall asleep at take off while b/f every time - the hum of the plane helps too.
As a PP said, you can hire all equipment you need rather than take your own. Some companies will even meet you at the airport with the stuff.
