Default Which mcn brand for us?

So, I've finally decided to get cloth nappies, yay!

But, which ones? Dd is 10 months and has THE FATTEST thighs I have ever seen. Also, we're planning on having another baby, so ideally I'd like adjustable nappies, but I worry that if they're big enough to fit my beautiful chubba bubba, they will never be small enough to fit a newby, or even a normal sized bubba.

I stalk eBay listings all the time, comparing listings. So there's cheapies from china, like $3 ish per nappy, right through to $40 odd a nappy. Which ones?

Also there's a German nappy that ties on, then you put a merino wool cover over the top, anyone tried this? It's called Disana.

I also tried using the terry towel flats I have, but I can't find a fold that gets around her legs without being too loose. What to do?

    Any advice welcome!

I suggest OSFM (One size fits most) and I hear those China cheapies will not last you.
Pea Pods have apparently redesigned their Nappies and are a lot better now and they're about $19 a nappy.
Rumparooz, Bumgenius and Baby beehinds are apparently pretty good. There are a million brands out there so perhaps try a couple of a few different brands and see which work for you. Some places will give you a trial as well to see if they'll fit your bub.

I've got some swaggers and itti bitti tutto and they're both fantastic. Great for newborns all the way through to toddlers! A good friend has bumgenius and loves them.
    Good luck!

My little ripple are the cheap ones from china, I have had no probs with them. I also use funkibums and a local brand called baby bums. I refuse to pay $25+ for a nappy personally.

I disagree, my china cheapies have lasted 2 kids now (1yr first, 1yr still going with second). I stopped after 1yr with my first due to working and wanting to cut down washing

I got told by a lot of people china cheapies were no good but eventually ended up buying some and extra inserts for each and they are great Nappies. Lasting the distance here.

I was there spending up on a few of each, too. The Issy Bears are my favourites of those I saw, but I also picked up a Bambooty and a Cushie Tushie. Love the Grovia peacock print.
