I would not buy a car seat 2nd hand, but im thinking the rest i would?

Whats your opinion and experience with this?
I would buy a high chair, cot, baby bath and change table and high hair second hand and have done but I wouldn't buy a pram second hand.

Things like high chairs, change table and bath I felt weren't used that a much so with ds2 I bought them second hand. Car seat, I used ds1's for ds's, if I didn't do that I would have bought a brand new one as I wouldn't want someone else's second hand one. And besides being a big walker so wanting a descent pram that would last this was also important as out of everything a pram would be used the most.

I've got lots of second hand stuff - angelcare monitor, clothes, bumbo, baby Bjorn, to name a few! The only things I think really matter are car seat and mattress - furniture, pram, etc can usually be found in good condition!

I agree with other ladies on this thread, I wouldnt buy a cot mattress or car seat second hand. With dd1 i bought everything new, in hindsight I could have saved a lot of money in buying second hand. I sold a lot of things on ebay, many of which I had never used. My basinette had only been used once!
Bottle sterilizers and bottle warmers etc can be bought second hand, I did buy a second hand microwave sterillizer at a fraction of the cost. Also maternity wear can be bought second hand

Only thing I can think of that I wouldn't is car seat and mattress. We were given pretty much everything we needed for DS1. The only thing we bought were car seat, mattress, nappies and some bottles so I could express. This time I needed a new pump and DS1 needed a new car seat but that was bought for us by my Grandad <3
