I can't be bothered counting but around 12-15. Most never get worn though, I rotate between one pair of flats and sandals and when the weather warms up I will replace the sandals with boots.

    38. It's a mix of flats, thongs, heels, boots, joggers and sandals.
I have my favourite pair from each category and hardly wear the rest

I'm not a real shoe person.. as in stilettos etc or fancy shoes- a bit of a tomboy I guess; the shoes I buy/own and swoon over lol are converse sneakers (I have them in purple and in black and want more colours)- Doc Martin boots in black, cherry red and purple. I bought myself a nice pair of grey/purple/black Adidas runners the other week. My "going out" shoes- I have a gorgeous pair of black boots that go up to just below the knee- they are my faves, have a zip up the side and a chunky buckle For formal events I have a couple of pairs of heels somewhere gathering dust in the back of my wardrobe. And numerous pairs of thongs and ballet flats.

I am a shoe aholic. I have all mine in clear plastic boxes with a photo of the shoe on the box so I can easily find the ones I am looking for. Drives my dh crazy. Um even after a massive clean out recently I still have 102 pairs. My collection includes boots, flats, sandals, heels and wedges in an assortment of colours.

When I cleaned my closet a few months back I cut down to 100 pairs. Have had a few more additions since then

about 40 pairs are sport shoes, I get them cheap or free so at least my collection didn't cost too much!
