My friend was at the shop yesterday and got this letter on her car when she got back

She has a 2.5year old that still uses a stroller but when she got the stroller out he wanted to walk, so he he held her mums hand and my friend walked the stroller in.
How old is too old to be able to use a parents with pram parking?
I see both sides I guess? But didn't really think this note was necessary.

Hmmm. Was in this situation myself today. Have a 1 y.o. and was only running in so was carrying him rather than getting the pram out. Now he is a chunky monkey and pretty heavy and I am not a massive person and am pregnant.
I did consider using the parents spot as I needed to be as close as possible, but changed my mind at the last minute. Now seeing this I am glad I didn't!!!
I agree that this is over the top. Personally I believe the spots should be for the parents of young children. I don't really see why having a pram necessarily means you need to be close to the entry. The thing I like about these spots is you often get more room on the side of the car so you can open the door really wide to get little people in and out of car seats.
Your poor friend, what a horrible thing to have happen.

She had a pram.
Parent. With. Pram.
But as PP said its irrelevant, it's only a courtesy on behalf of the shopping centre to butter up their clientele

How rude! I still use parents with prams and my youngest for now is 2.5 - granted he is always in a pram or trolley but still, how rude of whoever put that on their car!

If I have DD with me I'll park in a PWP spot even if its a quick trip and she wants to walk. I wouldn't park there if I had only DS who is 5 and at school - I never have DS without DD though.

BTW, prepare yourself. Forget circumcision, vaxing or elective caesareans. PWP threads are where the magic happens

Been thinking about it. If a 1.5-2.5 yo is walking and not wanting a stroller it's actually dangerous to have them walking through a carpark so prob a good Idea to park in one of those spots for safety reasons?

It should be called parents with car seats!
How about when you park and take out a 6 month old to go get a trolley and do shopping!
Grr people tick me off
