    Default Low HCG result

    Hi,

I had a blood test today and have been told my HCG levels are only 18; they were looking for a result around 15. My progesterone levels were 'very good'.

I will be having the bloods done again Friday morning to see if the HCG levels increase.

Af is due today and my home tests have been resulting in very faint lines.

Has anyone had experience with low levels so early in pregnancy and what were your outcomes?

It could just mean you ovulated later than you thought My first HCG level was about 35 (because I knew at about 10 DPO) and I'm now 8weeks with a healthy bub on board.

They normally only worry if you're HCG levels aren't doubling in the correct time frame. But they tend not to monitor that unless you've had a history of loss.

    Good luck! x

Unfortunately I do not know what DPO I am this month (my husband told me to relax and not worry).

My cycles have always been 28 days, except last month 26. This month I am currently up to day 32. I had blood tests Tuesday and the level was 18. I had repeat tests yesterday and the level is 36. I was told they are doubling but very low. My progesterone is 15.2.

I have to contact my fertility specialist but could not get through all afternoon yesterday so now I have the whole weekend worrying what is happening. Ihad acupuncture last night and was told to think positive.

Has anyone else had experience with this? I have been searching and some ladies worry levels in the 200's are low. If that is the case then mine are bad!

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Dont stress too much. My hcg levels were only around 250 at 6 weeks and I am now 31 weeks with twins everyone is different its the time your levels take to double that is important.

Hcg levels dont mean much, as long as they are doubling and within the guide lines as to how far along you are then you should be fine, thats what my FS told me.

My doc did a test at what should have been around 21dpo according to LMP and it was 130. It turned out I ovulated quite late and according to my ultrasound last week, the blood test was done at 10dpo.

Unfortunately I started to bleed Monday morning. I am devastated. I know we were only 5 weeks but it really knocked us to the ground. After 7 months of BFN we were over the moon to finally get a BFP but it obviously wasn't meant to be. I am now on clomid and we have been told we can try again straight away so we hope this will be our turn for a very sticky BFP.

I'm so sorry Hun :-( the same thing happened to us after 6 months of bfns. Started to bleed at 5 weeks and found out my hcg was only 8. 6months later we were successful again and I'm now 13w so hopefully you'll get a sticky very soon!
