Default Baby kicking a lot - any chance it could it be engaged?

Just wondering. My baby seems to lie in the same way all the time, I can feel a bottom on right side and kicks on right so I know it's laying upside down. But it's still squirming/kicking a lot. I've heard that babies usually are a lot more still before approaching labour and when their head engages. Thanks

    Hey

I've never heard this or looked into it but u could be right, I know my bub is engaged (been told by midwife 1.5wks ago) and i know I'm close to labour since I'm 39w 4d and been having irregular contractions/back ache day & night

If u want to know for sure maybe call and ask your birth suite/midwife ?

Im 40+10 right now and have a VERY active baby. She is not engaged or even close to it. I too have heard that babies get a bit quieter right before birth, I have been checked and am very much not close to birthing.

It prob is a sign then that baby isn't very engaged. I was worried cos my baby was still kicking heaps and I was due to be induced in a few days with unfavourable cervix and baby still at -3.

Went into be induced on wed with 2nd baby at 37+3 with baby not engaged and he kicked all throughout my labour until I got to active labour.
