    Default Gumtree vent.

aargh. seriously, why do some people on gumtree literally want something for nothing?! You try to sell things at a reasonably cheap price and they still want it for next to nothing. I expect people to negociate on price, but what some people want the item for is just a joke. Makes me wonder why I bother. And the stupid text and emails I get asking if the item is still available then nothing... no reply after that.. ? why bother going to the trouble to ask if it's still available then that's it. *sigh*. Going to just stick to ebay.

I stick to ebay for the same reasons - it feels more "reliable" and easy if that makes sense. I hate the ebay and PayPal fees though. I sold something the other day on ebay and once all the fees were taken out it really wasn't worth my effort. Sorry I went a bit off track!

I often go through gumtree and send a few emails asking if something is still available then out of what is still available I pick my favourite and purchase that one. Only last week I sent out 10 emails about bikes, 6 were still available. I looked at 2 and bought one.

I stay away from gumtree because every time I've emailed someone to ask about an item they've said "Sure you can come see it on XXX day" and then when I ask for their address I get no response.

Then when the day comes and I don't show because they haven't given me their address I get abusive messages. No thanks! That happened to me a couple of times and now I just don't bother. I much prefer ebay.
