Does anyone know much about Geelong? Is it a nice family place? Are some areas better than others? Are there acreage properties there?
Hubby just told me a transfer option might have become available and I'm all curious and excited!

Born and bred geelongian here. Currently living overseas but can't wait to go back! Avoid corio, newcomb and wallington suburbs. Highton, Belmont, waurn ponds, wandana heights, grovedale and surrounding suburbs are all beautiful. Close to beaches and lots of great shopping spots!

Although I might add they're slightly more expensive but a lot nicer area and closer to town/beaches. The suburbs I mentioned to avoid are quite rough and scary.
