Default How often do you apply lip balm?

As the title says, how often do those of us who wear lip balm apply it per day?

And when should you throw out lip balm?

I just found one I've had for 3 years (I don't use it) so thought it was time it went in the bin lol.

However I have 4 that I've purchased in the last 6 months and not sure if they are good to use.

I apply it every few hours. I hate having dry lips.

I apply some before work, after lunch and before I go home. Air con dries out my lips but I drink a lot of water during the day so I would just be wasting it applying it every hour!

I tend to use them until they run out (6 months - 1 year) or until they melt because I leave them in the car by accident!

I did find one lip gloss I got 5 years ago... threw that one straight out!

I use a non-colour/flavour type one every night before I go to bed as DH insists on having the fan on no matter what the weather so I generally end up with very cracked and dry lips in the morning if I don't.

But during the day? Not very often unless it's cold weather and windy.

I put it on before bed and when I get in the car. Normally that's about it and I use it until its gone.

Never. Hate the feeling. Hate the look of the gloss ones. Looks like lips are covered in spit!

I use it regularly cos I'm prone to dry lips - I'm pretty sure its an allergy to something. So I have about 10 lip balms on the go, stashed in drawers, in bags, one by my bed. Sometimes if I find myself out without one I absolutely have to buy one, its so irritating.

And I never throw them out, I keep using then until they are gone which might be a long time, but since its only me using then I don't mind.

I use it every night before bed and generally that's it. Very rarely I'll put it on in the day if my lips are sore. Never throw them out, always just use them till they are finished.

Every second of my life! I hate the tight feeling of dry lips. I don't use coloured ones, just plain balm. In fact I use Aromababy's barrier balm or Paw Paw all natural ointment. They are not specifically lip balm but great on lips if you want moisturising effect. If stranded on an island, balm for lips is a must have for me!!!
