I too am a "crinkle side up" bobby pin wearer..... I feel confused on what to do?!?!

Just to throw another spanner in the works - I use my bobby pins in a completely different way - I don't like them to be seen at all so I always slightly turn my hair a little and spear them in kind of opened. My hairdresser taught me this. Holds your hair tighter and the bobby pins never fall out.

So, if bobby pins are meant to go flat side up, how do you explain these then? Clearly bumpy side up........
