    My daughters middle name is rose. Gabrielle Rose.

    I did this too!

    I prefer Ebony. For some reason I don't see the point of Ivy as a nn, as it isn't really shortened much?? I really like the actual name Ivy though.

    Most names come from other words. Check what wiki says about Rose, it's definitely a name, but I can't imagine it says much about that on there.

    True, I've just never heard Ivory used as a name. To me it only has elephant tusk connotations.

    Yup, Ivory is definately a name. Avery and Ivy is just another form of Ivory.
