Default Mathew Newton - Bully or Mental illness sufferer?

For those who watched last nights 60 Minutes interview, what did you think?

Do you think that he has a mental illness or is he an excuse making bully?

Default Mathew Newton - Bully or Mental illness sufferer?

My antenna buzzed when he replied "...ah, I can say i am not on any medication at this time." Dodgeball city - of course he's not legally medicated; he's high as a kite on something else!

And 3mths is not time enough to be 'fixed' or worked thru mental illness! I believe he is definitely 'hiding behind the mental illness card!

Lastly - i understand that mental illness can lead the individual to make strange, different, risky and even at times, violent decisions n actions, but to state that he is not a violent person or not be able to state whether or not what he did was right or wrong ----- was this another 'dodgeball' answer?

I believe he is ill, and I believe his parents would have moved heaven n hell to help him, and sounds like he hasn't had a bar of it.

    Made me angry.

He couldn't make eye contact with her through a lot of the questions!! Don't think it was very sincere at all but I'm sure he is genuinely suffering from mental illness! I couldn't believe he said he had never been formally diagnosed with any mental illness but that was his main defense in all his court appearances!! It got him off jail time.

    Excuse making bully.

And he makes it harder for people with a mental illness to shake the stigma surrounding it. Makes me so annoyed

He has an illness, he also has a personality disorder which is preventing him from taking any responsibility for his actions, and yes people with an illness are still responsible for what they do. I work in a hospital where he was treated once in the emergency department, I never saw him myself, but all reports from those who did was that he was an ***.

I didn't see the interview, glad I didn't, he makes me angry!

Maybe I'm being naive, he is an actor after all. But he seemed tortured to me. Like he is really not well and goes through major internal turmoil. Nothing excuses his actions bug I truly think he is sick
