Sl.. Ds had silent reflux.. It was hell, I totally feel for you.
We were on losec from 3 months. I can't help you with any earlier, but I would have done anything to help him!
Hope you get relief soon!
Ella has fed every 2 hours since 1am this morning. She takes an hour to feed. I'm shattered!!!!!

She also said that baby should be able to stay up for 45 mins to an hour and in that time you should fit feeding nappy change burping and settling back to sleep! This so does not happen so I need to be more efficient with my feeding I think and keep him awake!
Again he is unsettled and was pretty much awake from 5 until 8 went down for 45 mins then awoke I fed for 10 mins and now he's asleep on my chest!
It's certainly frustrating but I think more for me wanting to make sure that he is ok which I know he is he just seems to be great for the most part of the day and then unsettled all night

Thanks Nala...I hope so too.
Ivy seems quite unsettled, I am about to try and get an hour or 2 before she wakes...although it could be 10 minutes, sounds like she is struggling with wind.
SL that was interesting info on their stomachs etc, thanks for sharing.

All that feeding paid off.. Ella went 5 hours between feeds last night!
I know it's probably not a pattern, but gee it was nice!

Sl, is the immature muscle that causes the reflux. Eliana has been ob 1ml zantac twice a day since she was 6 weeks old. She had silent reflux, the zantac made her throw up heaps but it didn't hurt her anymore. It now looks like the zantac is losing its effectiveness so might have to change to losec.
Beta: grab some lecithin capsules from the chemist our health food shop, take 2 twice daily to help with boob lumps, it helps the fat break down, helps me heaps.
Nic, can't remember if you are bf or ff but grab some inner health plus capsules so you don't get thrush from the anti biotics.
With the night and day thing, we woke 3 hourly in the day (but had to because she was so little anyway) and let her go at night. I also only put her in her cot at night, during the day put her in her pram, bouncer, swing, floor mat wherever.
