Personally I wouldn't let anyone in without ID/some kind of really credible looking thingie. And even then maybe not if it were just me and kids home. Not paranoid! Just life these days.

I wouldn't either. I'm really surprised they're doing this door to door, without any warning or time to check it out.

Geez, I must be very trusting or naive. I didn't think too much of it - obviously I checked ID, listened to the spiel and then got my HELP ME app ready to go just in case.

Oh I almost forgot but I let another guy in the same week to change our shower head - another government initiative.

They came to my place today too. I'd heard of the initiative and he showed me his ID. I felt ok about it so I let him in. I think they need to prove that they've done the install and explained it to you etc to get paid. They offered shower heads too.

    Not paranoid....wary....and that's fine!

Yeah there's a gov initiative with these power boards at the moment but who says this bloke was for real? Could just be some wako with a power board wanting access to your home.

No thanks, I'll remember to turn my own TV off thanks!

My SIL has one, its a PITA to be honest
