My husband and I are both Greek Orthodox and we are planning our sons baptism. We want to baptise him after my father in laws name however the priest at our local church tells us we cannot baptise with the name as it not recognised and has no saint day, has anyone been in a similar situation? Does anyone know of a greek priest in sydney who may be willing to baptise with the name Makis?
