I use to do rabies every 3 years in the US because it was the law. The vaccines that pets need was looked into and they need a lot less than they were being given so people were over vaxxing their pets by a long shot so things are changing for pets

Default *Spin off* Do you vaccinate your pets/cattle?

Yes. Too many years nursing incredibly sick kittens at the RSPCA with cat flu, and puppies with parvo virus. All our pets we vaccinated every year.

The only vaxx's any of my pets ahve had has been our cats when they were little. We got them from the RSPCA where they vaxx them before sale.

Default *Spin off* Do you vaccinate your pets/cattle?

Yes, my dog is vaccinated annually. I want to protect him from canine VPD's, so we are more than happy to do that!

ETA: we are pro vax for our family as well do it ties into our philosophies

Default *Spin off* Do you vaccinate your pets/cattle?

Yes, you only need to watch a dog die of parvovirus once to never want to see it again.

But wouldn't the same logic apply for vaccinating humans against deadly diseases?

I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm just curious.

Haha that's okay. I think majority of the answers have come from pro vax people.
