My first little bundle of joy is due at the end of June. I've just past the 20 way mark and am feeling pretty good at this stage.
Prior to pregnancy I was a fairly active person, the first trimester slowed me right down, I was feeling so nauseous and tired & my exercise & healthy eating regime temporarily went out the window!
I started feeling better again around 15 weeks and have been focused on keeping moving and eating well most of the time.
I have been weighing myself weekly since 15 weeks and at 20 weeks I have put on 4.1kg since conception. Not too bad I guess, but I really want to keep it down as much as I can!
So my focus until this point has been my weight - the number on the scales.
It's kind of a lose-lose situation though as obviously the number is going to go up and it's never what anyone wants to see when they jump on the scale (even though there is an obvious reason why the number is going up!)
So I have decided to move my focus from the number on the scale to combating the cellulite on my butt/thighs! Clearly my tummy is going to keep getting bigger, but there is no reason why I have to let my legs go too!
I am still in my skinny jeans today (all be it with a belly belt to do them up!) but they still fit my legs & butt which I'm pleased about.
I've always suffered with a cellulite layer on my upper thighs and the only time it's fairly well gone or at least manageable is when I'm doing lots of walking/running & eating well, say 85% of the time.
I know I can do more walking, but I do drink ALOT of water (which helps flush the toxins) and have been eating really well. I guess I could always eat a little bit better, so I will try to be conscious of eating unprocessed food most of the time.
I will keep weighing myself, but I know if my thighs feel good and less flabby, I will feel better about myself in general!
I might take a before pic and then an after pic (hopefully there is a difference!) I think that will keep me motivated.
If anyone wants to join in, then please join me!
Happy Friday to all!

Changing my Focus
Hi, I'm not pregnant, but just wanted to say good on you for changing your focus, and making the effort to stay healthy rather than focusing on the scales
