Default Bed safety when bed sharing

My DD is 8mo and bed shares with us. This has worked well until now as she hasn't been ridiculously active in bed despite getting into all sorts of things during the day.

Recently though she has gotten this bizarre superman complex and has decided that launching off things is a wonderful idea. This newfound agility looks like its something that will continue and I'm worried about her launching off our bed (which is a very high king). We can't put it against the wall and I really don't want to do a mattress on the ground so wanted to get some suggestions on safety from anyone who has/does bed share.

Has anyone used a bed safety rail or one of those foam bumper thingies of anything else that they can recommend? All the rails I've looked at even the supposedly extra wide ones, wouldn't even reach the top of our mattress which is about 50cm. And the foam thingies don't look high enough to contain her crazy antics!!

Any advice would be appreciated as I've been racking my brain on what to do and looked at tons of unsuitable products so have run out of ideas.

OP I have the same issue, an extra deep mattress and couldn't find a suitable rail yet.

For now I have the pool noodles secured under my sheet - 2 taped together and 1 on top if that makes sense. So basically a couple high. Only cost $7.50 for the 3 pack at BigW and so far so good for 17mth old.

I know what you mean! Ours is 9months and a keen explorer. I fought going into the floor but in the end it was the only way to be sure our lo wouldn't fall. It's actually not do bad.. And it's not for that long. Good luck in finding a solution!
